ANAHEIM, Calif. — Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with left rib cage inflammation, the team announced. Scratched from the Angels’ lineup moments before the start of Saturday night’s 7-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, their final game before the All-Star break, Trout has missed the past four games with back spasms, and on Sunday, he elected not to participate in Tuesday’s All-Star Game in Los Angeles.
